What is Qi?

Qi can be thought of as fundamental “life energy” or “life force.”  Qi is what Acupuncturists are trying to manipulate when they use needles to help energy flow more smoothly in the body.

According to traditional Chinese culture, everything in nature shares the same basic energy.  The human body is a concentrated form of Qi, and the consciousness is the most refined form of Qi.   Our physical and mental health has to do with the amount and quality of our Qi and how Qi flows in our body.

What is Qigong?

Qigong is a type of moving and still meditation that improves our overall physical and mental health.  Unlike other forms of meditation or exercise, Qigong uses simple movements and ways of focusing our attention that not only deeply relax the body, but also improve the quality, amount, and flow of Qi in our body and mind.
